MOT Testing in Stanway

All Trans Autos carries out MOTs on cars, vans, minibuses, and motorhomes in our own test bay on Peartree Industrial Estate. The bay takes vehicles up to 5.5 tonnes, so whether you need a Class 4, Class 5, or Class 7 MOT, you can book it with the same team.

What the MOT covers

The MOT checks a defined range of safety and emissions-related items, including:

• Brakes – performance and condition
• Lights and electrical systems
• Steering and suspension
• Tyres – condition and tread depth
• Seatbelts and restraint systems
• Exhaust emissions
• Bodywork and structure – where relevant to safety
• Windscreen, wipers, and washers

If your vehicle fails

We’ll explain exactly what failed and why, with a clear quote for any remedial work before anything is touched. Where repairs are straightforward, we can often carry them out the same day and retest promptly. There’s no pressure to use us for the repairs – though most of our customers do.

Pre-MOT checks

If you’d like us to check your vehicle over before the test, we’re happy to do so. Catching an obvious issue beforehand can save the cost of a retest.

A few other things make booking with us straightforward:

• you can book up to a month, minus a day, before your certificate expires and keep the same renewal date
• your MOT can be done alongside a service to save a second visit
• our waiting area has comfortable seating, coffee, and cold drinks, or a courtesy car or van can be arranged, although charges may apply
